This is my first self-portrait. It was drawn freehand while looking in a mirror. I think the hardest thing about drawing faces is, well everything. It's amazing how much a tiny tweak in the angle of the mouth or the shape of the eyes can impact how accurate the face looks. I still don't think I got it totally right, but it's pretty close.
I chose to portray myself holding a blank book because I wanted to show that I love reading all kinds of books. There are too many good books out there to pick just one!
